What’s new
IT Training
In July and August 2012 around 7 visually impaired students received training for around 45 days. Apart from the visually-impaired, 3 teachers took part in a 15 days training on how to teach visually-impaired.
IEC Cyber
Just 4 months after the launch of the Cyber it started to generate money. We are extremely happy that our hard work has paid off. Apart from sighted users, more and more visually impaired are coming to the cyber in need of a reliable and visually impaired friendly computer environment. The IEC Cyber brings together its sighted and visually impaired computer users. The venture would not have been possible without the generous support of ChangeFusion Nepal and Give2Asia Foundation.
IEC Nepal vision day
First Vision Day in Apple Cafe was an amazing event :-) we created quality space for the local community of visually impaired, students and entrepreneurs – to start building an inclusive society :-) BIG THANK YOU for Tom and Emma from Handicap-sur-le-Monde for the Beautiful Pictures
Braille T-shirts
Braille T-shirts, another initiative aiming at generating income but also raising awareness about the visually impaired has had a breakthrough. We finally managed to socially responsible young personalities as volunteers for selling the t-shirts. We now have Rupa, Kapil and Bashanti in Kathmandu – and Manisha in Pokhara. Cheers guys – in IEC Nepal we really appreciate Your time and commitment!
